Aside from the big amounts of gagged or silenced peril scenes I mean.

Aside from the fetish factors, how would you envision a Zatanna TAS?

Take as example the two arguably most succesful TAS from the '90s, which are Batman and Spider-Man.

Of course I'm not comparing the two directly, Batman obviously had a way bigger artistic value (and mind that I'm more a Marvel guy) and added to the mythos with things like Harley Quinn. But Spider-Man was rather succesful anyway so we can take is a good example of TAS adaptation.

So how would you imagine a Zatanna TAS?

Costume, secondary characters cast, villains, etc.

Zatanna is a way less known character, with a way smaller mythos than the two bigger mainstays of DC and Marvel obviously. I am not much knowledgeable of the DCU so I'm interested in other opinions about this.

One of our own little community sadly passed away.

He was always a very supportive, enthusiastic and positive member of our joint.

For the little time I've known him as an online person, I can say he was a great person all-around. Which is also testified by all the messages I've read about him by other members of our community in this sad day.

But it's better if I link to what one of the people who knew him the most wanted to say

I've been a member of this community for almost ten years, I've seen more than a few of "us" passing. It's always a tragedy that strikes hard. Maybe because even if they were people that we didn't know in real life, a part of us knows that it was a person with which at least at some levels we were like-minded kin spirits. A part of the team, of a clan

Rest in peace

We will "add more rope"

I will make a series of retrospective reviews on all the scenes where my favourite reckless redhead reporter's reporting duties are... Impaired.

In other words, reviews about every scene where they gagged the press in the original TMNT series from 1987.

Of course I'm talking about 1987 April O'Neil, and to know why she's my absolute favourite you can check this journal entry:

This series of reviews will use my very personal rating system for reckless reporting, which is based on assigning points to each of the aspects I like the most in the scenes involving our yellow jumpsuited host.

Snooping: whether April O'Neil goes snooping around all alone and how nicely foreshadows the incoming distress

Reckless: how much April actively pursuits trouble and basically falls victim of her own fault, whether it is misguided bravery, poor judgement, or anything else

Defiant: how much Ms. O'Neil acts defiant towards her captors, the distress, or just the overall situation

Tied up: whether the notorious reporter in the banana jumpsuit is tied up in the scene, how much and how nicely trussed up she is

Gagged: how good they gag the press in the scene (handgags still count and get half a point)

Lenght: the lenght of the overall scene, including the snooping around alone and the capture

Artstyle: the quality of the animation is all over the place in this classic cartoon series, so much that some good scenes are gravely downgraded by the lows the animation reaches sometimes

Recently I was asked to pick a favourite damsel of mine with some pics of her.

It's no mystery my favourite is 1987 April O'Neil. Who's also one of my favourite female characters by the way.

Here's why.

April O'Neil is a headstrong, independent 28 years old TV reporter.

1

In her original appearance she's presented to us as absolutely smexy, workhaolic, witty, sarcastic and scoop-obsessed.

2

Her yellow jumpsuit might make no sense at all, but there is no doubt that when it's coupled with her white boots, white belt and her very recognizable red hair, it makes up for a total lewk and absolutely iconic character design.

5

Basically she's a redheaded Lois Lane upped to eleven with radical visuals, who also adds sarcastic commentary and quite a degree of eyecandy to the story.

3

Like Lois, she doesn't stop at anything to get her story. She also rides a motorcycle and she drives a van like no one else. All in all a very cool woman you'd feel intimidated at hitting on.

4

But on the other side of things, despite all her coolness April gets kidnapped every other day. While it can't be denied she has cool skills and traits, she's no fighter at all.

8

Once the situation gets... hands-on... she doesnt' stand a chance. Which absolutely doesn't stop her from snooping into any kind of villains' lair she discovers as quick as possible.

7

Because despite being quick on her feet and wits, she's also absolutely reckless and totally defiant. She's a no-nonsense snoop who'll never wait for the heroes before putting herself in danger.

6

Call it poor judgment, momentary stupidity, being dense sometimes, whatever. Fact is she's way more often than not the cause of her own distress and she never learns.

9

April O'Neil is one cool young woman who makes herself a constant damsel-in-distress. And this dualism, being a headstrong independent female character but also a constant helpless damsel, is why she is one of the greatest DiDs ever and my absolute favourite.
